The Global Strategic Customers and Industries team is being formed at a time when Google Cloud’s growth is surging, with a rapidly growing sales organization and revenues up 44% from the prior year in Q1 of 2022. Vemuri, a leader in establishing major partnerships including Ford, Sabre, Globo, Mayo Clinic, and Deutsche Bank, will continue to focus on leveraging partnerships with enterprise customers that enable them to implement services across Google’s portfolio, including Google Cloud, Ads, Maps, and Assistant.

As CEO of Google Cloud since 2019, Thomas Kurian has emphasized an industry-driven sales approach that tailors the company’s AI and cloud expertise to key verticals.
