Poly Announces New Video Conferencing Tools at Zoomtopia 2021

Analyst Take: The new video conferencing tools add a new level of sophistication to the Poly Studio lineup — and they are coming at the perfect time. As companies continue to allow remote and hybrid work situations, these tools will bring broadcast-quality to every meeting regardless of where employees are.

We’ve all been part of video conferences where there has been camera or audio issues. Consistently dealing with these issues is one of the main struggles of working from home, but the Poly Studio family and the new video conferencing tools eliminate them, making everyone feel as if they are in the same room.

Poly Studio X70 and Poly Studio E70 utilize the Poly Director AI technology, which uses AI and machine learning to deliver framing and tracking which allows for the face-to-face communication people need to conduct meetings without the audio interruptions. Everyone can have a seat at the table no matter where their actual table is.

Other notable features include:

  • Dual cameras with 4K sensors, NoiseBlock AI and Acoustic Fence to block out unwanted noise.
  • Ability to control lights, monitors and shades directly from the Poly TC8 screen.
  • Native support of the video conference provider of choice including Zoom.
  • Additional security protection

Announcement Continues Poly’s Upward Trajectory

Last month Poly released their Q1 FY2022 earnings beating bottom line and top line consensus estimates. That showed that Poly was riding the same growth wave the Zoom and other Unified Communications’ companies were riding as a result of the pandemic. The need for top quality video and audio was a top priority for companies everywhere with employees at home, and Poly delivered. The challenge that I posed at that point was Poly needed to capture the second element of the COVID-19 wave in whatever for the return to office might take.

These new video conferencing tools definitely do just that and it’s clear that Poly’s recently appointed CEO Dave Shull is focused on positioning itself as the company that can deliver exactly what is needed for hybrid work.
Poly Studio X70 and Poly Studio E70 will enable hybrid work to continue seamlessly, offering connections for employees regardless of location that they otherwise couldn’t get.
